Kitamani is a highland in the north of east Bali which encompasses village of Panelokan, Toya Bungkah, Batur, and Kintamani itself. Climbing Mount Batur
Mount Batur with 1700-meter height is usually the first Mount climbed by the first-year senior high school students before they try other mounts. You just need approximately 2 hours to reach the peak. But be careful with sandy area on the foothills and slippery track when it rains. All guides will be members of Association of Mount Batur Trekking Guides which has an office in Toya Bungkah (tel: +62 366 52362, 3AM-1PM), from where the treks commence. The guides will show the fun as well as show how active this volcano by cooking egg on lava-heated rock
With greenery and drizzly weather, this area is the perfect place to enjoy the beauties of nature by cycling. There are several options of circuit just like from Toya Bungkah passing the caldera or from Kintamani to Ubud. It is kind of relaxing activity, the sun will be so warm or even refreshing and the greenery is just like a vitamin for the soul and mind.
Soaking in Hot Springs
This is Asian people do to soothe the senses and sweep away the stress; soaking in hot springs. In Kintamani there is popular hot springs right by the lake side named Toyo Devasya; Toyo is Balinese for water. It is very relaxing and to warm up on the very chilly days here.
Visit Trunyan Village
Trunyan Village is a sensational village due to villagers' habit to put the death body on the land near Trunyan tree. To reach this village you have to cross the Batur Lake by boat. Be careful with the local guide who is little bit pushy and pricy. If you want to have a local guide there in Trunyan Village please make sure about the fee before starting to explore this exotic village.
