This is a great hotel, on Sunset Road, sort of like a detour from the main traffic so you get to the hotel quicker. After checking in, the hotel shuttle took me to Carrefour, where I stocked up and had a drink at the small food court. I had to walk back to the hotel, but no matter, it's just a 10-min short walk away or one could take a taxi. It was great returning to my nice room from the hot sun, to sound air-conditioning and a wonderful pool view. I too a look at what I think were the garden view rooms; the surrounding greenery looked nice too. There were some mosquitoes in my room, and I spent like a whole 10min trying to rid them with my bare hands. But I'm not mosquito prone, this spares me from the bites. Another thing were the slippers provided, they were not well-made so the thong that went through my big toe and second toe attempted to cut through my skin. But since the floor was clean, I just kicked them off and walked around barefoot. Other than this, I loved the room with neutral colours accentuated with bright bits, as well as the comfortable bed. Breakfast was not included in my price, but I paid just another 60,000 rupiah for an all-you-can-eat spread which included juice, an egg station, a fried-food station with pisang goreng (banana fritters), hot food, small section of cereal and bread. And my hotel rate, to begin with, was cheap. The place just opened in December, and the management seems to work hard in maintaining the good work started, so if nothing drastically changes, I will be coming back.
