| Garuda to Increase Seat Capacity

will increase seat capacity from Perth
to Denpasar from next month and reintroduced two-class configuration on its
B737-800NG to provide business and economy class options. The move follows a
doubling of the airline’s capacity to Indonesia
in December last year, when daily services to Jakarta
were introduced to supplement the existing daily Bali
services.
From 01 March three of these Jakarta
services will be redirected to Bali instead, in order to
meet the growing demand for the popular holiday destination.
The additional Bali flights will operate on Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Saturdays, with evening departures times from Perth
complimenting the daily morning flights.
The direct Jakarta services depart
on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, also with an evening departure
time.
The extra inbound flights depart Bali around 23.00hrs on
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in the early hours of the following
morning. Jakarta flights depart Cengkareng
Airport at 21.30hrs on Mondays,
Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, also arriving early hours of the following
morning.
While timings will vary slightly, days of operation will remain the same when
new Northern Hemisphere Summer Schedules take effect on 25 March.

| | Film on the 2002 Bombings is Banned in Bali

Bali's Provincial Film Body has banned screenings of a
film on the 2002 bombings because it could "reopen old wounds", a
provincial film board official said today.
Long Road to Heaven, produced by Nia Dinata, one of Indonesia's most acclaimed directors, has been controversial because it examines the role of religion in the bombings.
The movie looks at the tragedy from different points of view,
including those of a Balinese taxi driver who lost a relative in
the blast, an American surfer searching for peace after the
September 11 attacks and Muslim militants who were blamed for the
bombs.
"If this movie is allowed to be screened in Bali, we fear people
who do not understand it would trigger conflict and direct hatred
at a certain group," said I Gusti Ngurah Gde, head of Bali's
provincial film body.
"If the Bali bombing tragedy is revived, this would reopen old
wounds, especially among the victims," he told reporters.
The movie was shown to Bali officials and relatives of bombing
victims last week at the governor's office.
"Almost all of us said we should reject the screening of this
movie across Bali," Gde said.
