The island of Lombok, just to the east of Bali, is noticeably different than its close neighbour, but it has as much natural beauty as Bali. Lombok has beautiful beaches, great volcanoes, and great variety of landscapes. The northern part of the island is mountainous and lush with tall tress and shrubs. The south, on the other hand is arid and covered by savannas.

Large Asian mammals are absent and replaced instead by marsupials, lizards, cockatoos and parrots. The difference becomes more pronounced as one move further east, where dry seasons are more prolonged and corn and sago are the staple food, instead of rice. The culture is rich and for outdoor activities, Lombok offers great variety of choices.

Soft, white sand, virgin beaches are typical in Lombok, where the motto is “You can see Bali from Lombok, but not Lombok from Bali”. Famous for its ikat hand-woven textiles, the islands has exceptional charm and is relatively undiscovered, except for the town of Sengigi, which is becoming a major resort area. Regular shuttle flights from Bali and Sumbawa as well as ferries, provide excellent means of transportation between the island of Lombok and the rest of archipelago.

Your Journey:
The journey will be started from Senggigi area, which means that your hotel must be located around Senggigi area. Then our staffs will take you to visit some villages with their unique native people and tradition. Through this full day tour, we will accompany you to explore the original life of Lombok people. On this journey you will visit Banyumulek Pottery Village, one of many pottery villages where clay pots with unique style and high in quality are made, using traditional method.

Then we move to Sukarara, a village where you will see a well preserved weaving tradition. The inhabitants of the village weave gold and silver thread into traditional Songket cloth with very simple looms. Then we will visit Sade or Rambitan Village, Sasak village with traditional houses, Kuta and Tanjung Aan Beach with white sand, though this beach is not as popular as Kuta beach in Bali, but this place offer a tranquillity which is suitable for those who love quite place.
