We've taken our name - Tarumas - from a beautiful golden hardwood native to Bali, Indonesia's named " Island of the Gods." Established in 1995, our company markets superior teak furniture that's already found a ready market in many foreign countries. We also supply custom-built furniture and decor items to hotels, apartment complexes and other institutions, both at home and abroad. Items made in Tarumas own workshop in Bali are notable for their graceful lines, solid construction and natural bee's wax finishes which allow the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. Teak is a highly desirable choice for furniture because of its distinctive grain and its fundamental strength. The carefull use of rattan, brass and leather accents adds an artful touch to selected pieces. Here's heirloom-quality furniture that will last for generations. Our catalog illustrates the hundreds of items already available through Traumas. But we also undertake custom design work. In addition, we can quickly fabricate wall panels, window frames, stairways and doors to customer order. In fact, we can even ship traditional Balinese houses in knock-down form to virtually any location around the world. At Tarumas, we're really proud of what we do.
