On request we offer our quests at the MATAHARI BEACH RESORT the
opportunity to choose from a wide variety of sports activities.
Modern
equipment, pleasant partners or friendly instructors are a matter of
course for us.

TENNIS:
We have a tennis court (concrete) on our premises, charges are US$
10,- per hour/court. Rackets and balls con be hired.

GOLF:
Due to its spectacular locotion the BALI HANDARA KOSAIDO COUNTRY
CLUB is one of the world's most beautiful golf courses.

It's only a one-hour
car ride away from the MATAHARI BEACH RESORT (transportation charge is US $ 30,-
per person return). Tee-off times are guaranteed for our
quests.
Green fee: US $ 85,-. Clubs are for hire at a rate of
US$ 18,-
MOUNTAIN BIKING:
Explore the vicinity of the resort on one of our high-quality mountain bikes
or join a guided tour into the mountains. The daily rental charge for a
mountain bike is US$ 10,-.
We also offer badminton, volleyball, hiking and dance-courses.

WATER SPORTS:
Our 23 m x 11 m swimming pool and the fine-groined lava beach offer
you a lot of excellent water sport activities:
SAILING:
Glide on one of our traditional Balinese sailing boots (perahu) through the Java Sea. Up to three persons are allowed on one boat.
Rental charge for the boat is US$ 15,- per hour.
WINDSURFING:
The boy in front of our resort is ideal for beginners and also for advanced surfers. We provide
all round boards for beginners and fun boards for
experienced surfers. Rental charge is US$ 15,- per hour.
MOTOR BOAT:
Our awn motor boat for up to four persons is for hire at a charge of
US$ 40,- per hour.

SNORKELLING
AND DIVING:
The MATAHARI BEACH RESORT is the perfect place for both snorkelling and diving. At
DAVIDS' DIVE SPORT CENTER all activities are planned.
No matter whether you are experienced or not, if you like to use your
own diving gear or one provided by the hotel, our instructor (PADI) will
ensure you that you are well prepared. If you like, have your first diving
experience in our pool which has the ideal depth for training (3m). And
then enjoy the beautiful carol reef only 200 m away from our resort. The
10 km long untouched reef with its tropical flora and fauna (gorgonian
woods, table carols, large horn carol fields) is ideal for snorkelling and
diving: Even experienced and widely traveled divers will be enthusiastic about the diving at
Menjangan Island, which is part of the Bali Barat
National Park and is only 50 minutes away by boat. Here you will find
almost everything tropical waters con offer: Whale sharks, gorgonian
woods, sea ferns, table carols, peaceful sharks, stingrays, tortoise5 and a
lot more. An extreme richness of tropical fish can be observed. Steep face and current diving excursions are possible.
Only the MATAHARI BEACH RESORT has the exclusive rights for a direct
access to Menjangan Island by boat. No other hotel in Bali con offer this
privilege.
An other attraction is Tulamban: Here you con find - in a depth of about
20 to 30 m - the wreck of a Japanese freighter completely covered by
carols.

Last but not least there is the area of Amed which offers the most
beautiful steep face diving excursions for experienced divers.
The prices for diving excursions depend on the diving region and the services rendered. They range from US$ 25,- to US$ 100,- per
person in
a group and US$ 45,- to US$ 280,- for single diving excursions.
All prices include the company of an experienced instructor and standard
gear. If you bring your own gear we grant a 10 % discount. The standard
equipment includes one oxygen tank, BCD, a regulator, diving mask, fins,
snorkel and lead belt (night-excursions incl. lamp).
