"When I first set foot in Mandala Desa, it felt like a world of its own. The tranquility and the music of nature was indeed the best therapy for the overworked and exhausted. "This is a beautiful place, where you can stay for the rest of your life for sure. In the evening listening to the sounds of nature mixed with praying, singing and the music of the village in the background in a harmonious way. For the moments when its too hot outside, you can nicely retire to your spacious air conditioned room. The staff gave us excellent service and never resorted to 'jam karet'. Many times we had, sitting on the veranda, hours of useful teaching on Balinese culture. Wayan is great. Open minded, heart in the right place, well educated and clever. For us she became a family member who took care of us in good Balinese social style. Fresh flowers in the room every day was a we/i appreciated custom. Alas! "it was nice to come back after a day in the 'hustle bustle' to a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Our favorite moments were having breakfast on the veranda with fresh fruit and juice, watching the thunderstorms at night which were awesome, and relaxing by the pool. The Balinese food prepared for us was excellent. Kudos to Wayan. She is great. A good compliment to Mandala Desa. We'll miss her hospitality. And we'll miss Evie and Jobie too.
