ABL-AMI.19: COUNTRY SIDE TOUR 8 Hours
A relaxing
tour around Lombok which gives a fascinating insight into the island’s culture and
way of life. This tour will start with a visit to Gunung Pensong , located 12 km from
Mataram to the south with a Hindu temple on the top through 300 meters above sea level.
This temple is belief as first temple built up by first migrant of Balinese to Lombok on
16th century. Walking up to the top you will encounter tame monkeys on the way
expecting your charity for fruits or peanuts. And from the top you can see beautiful view
of villages and beaches on your southern part and fantastic landscape on your northern
part with Mataram town on far side. A visit will be continued to Bertais daily market and
Narmada Summer Palace. And then proceed to Suranadi preserved forest for a rest.Food or
drink is available here. You trip will be continued to villages that produce attractive
bamboo furniture, the traditional mountain village of Karang Bayan or Nyiur Baya where the
villagers make unusual artifacts from “Mountain Weed” for daily use. On the way
back to hotel you can stop at Lingsar Temple of Hindu and Moslem Waktu Telu, a temple of
two beliefs.
