South Kalimantan Province with the capital, Banjarmasin is situated in Southern of Kalimantan island with borders of : in the west, Central Kalimantan Province, in the east, Makassar straits, in the south, Jawa sea and in the north, East Kalimantan province.
Geographically, it's situated in 114 19o 33 o Eastern Longitude - 116 33'28 East Longitude and 1 21'49" Southern Latitude and 1 10"14"Southern Latitude, with area width of 37.377,53 km2 or just about 6,98 % of Kalimantan island.
Widest region in South Kalimantan is Kotabaru regency with area width of about 13.044,50 km2, and then Banjar regency, area width of 5.039,90 km2 and Tabalong regency, area width of about 3.039,90 km2. The tightest region is held by Banjarmasin municipality with area width only 72,00 km2.
