 This is one of the most popular restaurants in the Kuta area. Situated on the main Kuta beach road, Jl. Pantai Kuta, this restaurant is always very crowded and you may have to share a table with others.
Although some visitors complain about the place being too crowded, they still come to this restaurant. The food is really terrific. And several years ago, Made's Warung at last opened another branch of its restaurant in Seminyak, known as Made's Warung II.
Except for the menu, it seems that everything in Made's II is bigger than in Made's I as it has a wider dining room and more tables. But the menu for both restaurants is the same. Now fans of Made's Warung's can switch from one place to another.Made's Warung offers mixed cuisines; international and local food. Some of the food is terrific.
Thai Soup and Salad are delicious, hot and the same as you would find them in Bangkok. The lemon tea is sweet and refreshing. The Squid Steak is a large tender fillet in a hot chili-garlic sauce. Fruit juices are thick, rich and cold. Seaweed salad with Tofu and Smoked Bali Salmon are great and unique. The Blue Cheese Salad dressing served with their big, fresh salads is great.
Indonesian food is also prepared well. The combination plate, Gado Gado and Nasi Campur, consists of fish, shrimp, chicken, bean, tofu, vegetables and rice. Some Balinese foods are real favorites in this restaurant, and include Kelepon, Babi Guling and Lawar Bali.
The desserts are heavenly. Chocolate Brownies are rich, fudgy and full of nuts. The Lemon Vodka Sherbet is a luscious lemon sherbet drowning in vodka; cool and lethal ! Try the Rum Raisin Cake; a rich chocolate cream cake saturated with rum.
