 Maya Ubud Resort and Spa presents an exhibition of paintings by Wayan Sila from December 15, 2003 to January 15, 2003
Having studied Balinesepainting and using motifs of barong and arja dance, Wayan Sila, a grand son of well known Balinese painter I Wayan Barwa, creates a magical world of owls, light and forests.
Yoko Miyazaki, from Tokyo, Japan compliments Wayan’s paintings with sublime poetry and verse. Translated into English by Thomas R. Walker, a long time American resident in Japan.
Let you imagination hear the calling of the owls in the depths of the forest and feel the meaning of “kata kata”
Wayan and Yoko have been exhibiting their paintings and poems at more than ten events in Ubud Bali, Jakarta, Spain, and many places in Japan.
Maya Ubud Resort and Spa is a tranquil location to enjoy Wayan and Yoko’s paintings and poems. The resort comprises 108 rooms and villas landscaped along a peninular set high above the Petanu River valley in the most beautiful surroundings.
