Depart 1.00 am. return 1.00 pm. Trekkers staying in coastal Bali will be picked up at 1 am. for a 1.5 hour drive to the central mountains. After a 15 minute safety briefing start climbing from Pura Jati at 3.00 am. It takes approximately 2 hours to cross the sand and lava rocks deposited by eruptions hundreds of years ago and to climb to the peak, 1717m above sea level.
The Bali Barat National Park is the only one natural national park in
Bali. Located in the west part of Bali, this park covers about 77.000 ha
of land and sea. The area consists of tropical forest, rivers, beach and
sea, including Menjangan island.
Actually Kintamani village is a village located at the edge of a mountain
caldera. Many years ago, a big- high mount erupted and make a big caldera
