Tuban - Just south of Kuta lies another small fishing village community,
Tuban. Largely overshadowed by its more famous neighbor (Kuta) Tuban has
recently emerged as a tourist area in its own right and is now home to well
several known international chain hotels - among them Ramada and Holiday
Inn and several family oriented amusement parks.
Tuban has a very
good mix of hotel accommodations starting from losmen through 5 Star properties
and, being more relaxed and a bit quieter, has earned a reputation as
a family oriented, value for money destination.

Sit down with a Tenganan woman or man and learn the craft of weaving. The teaching of Tenganan’s double weave is forbidden (and in any case too difficult!), but there are other forms that can be learned. No doubt you will gain a new appreciation for the skill of Tenganan craftspeople.
A scenic morning drive direct to Penelokan
where a steep winding road leads down to the shores of lake Batur. Motor
boats await to take you across the lake to a village strangling on the brink
between past and future.
Depart hotel at 7.30 am. for a two-hour scenic drive up to the central mountains. Our local guides will be waiting with the bicycles at Kedisan, ready for you to set off cycling at 9.00 am. The route follows the lakeside, with its picturesque vegetable gardens tucked into the little bays along the way.
Afternoon tours to Sangeh and Mengwi very often proceed to the spectacular
sea temple of Tanah Lot in time to witness the sun set behind the huge offshore
promontory. Here homage is paid by Ballinese Hindus to the guardian spirits
of the sea.
