Experience a resort that speaks of both Bali and contemporary comfort with sleek, uncluttered interiors
Uma Ubud feels like a rural home in the hills with narrow paths leading between rooms and suites and their small, walled tropical gardens. Indigenous materials include thatched woods and alang-alang roofs, modern accents introduced in sleek black and white bathrooms.
Carved panels open up to bring in views and the scent of forest. Light flows through interiors, from the bedroom through to garden terraces, private courtyards and infinity-edge pools.
Terrace Rooms
Our 14 bright and airy Terrace Rooms feature a comfortable four-poster bed draped in white voile. Large French doors open onto the private terrace overlooking Uma Ubud’s gardens. The bathroom has a sunken bath, outdoor shower and a beautiful ornate mirror.
Garden Rooms
An open-air courtyard with a comfortable seating area and fish pond connects the Garden Room’s spacious bedroom and bathroom. Each of these 10 rooms features a four-poster and contemporary, open-air black and white bathroom with tub and separate shower.
Uma Suite
Our Uma Suite has a sitting, dining room and bedroom with four-poster. Light flows through the interiors creating a sunny feel while the bathroom features a sunken bath and separate shower. Doors onto a private terrace provide sweeping Tjampuhan Valley views.
Uma Pool Suites
All three of these spacious, light-filled suites are similar to the Uma Suite with a large sitting and dining room as well as a comfortable bedroom featuring a four-poster bed. The highlight is the private plunge pool with views of the Balinese jungle and Tjampuhan Valley.

Eat & Drink
Immerse yourself in the tastes of Bali, enjoying Indonesia’s delicately spiced cuisine
At Uma Ubud, our approach to cuisine is modern, light and respectful of local nuances. Menus revive traditional Indonesian offerings as well as offer contemporary interpretations of neighbouring cuisines such as Chinese wok-fried dishes.
The menu relies on fresh produce harvested locally. This includes exceptional seafood, honey and farm-fresh vegetables. In addition to Asian dishes we offer classic international comfort salads and a cool pool bar for kicking back with a cocktail.
Kemiri
Kemiri, meaning candlenut in Bahasa, is an open-air space beside a waterfall-fed pond, with alang-alang thatched ceilings. Chris Miller, Kemiri’s Australian chef, has cooked with the best, including Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, Charlie Trotter and Neil Perry.
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with dishes showcasing Bali’s rich gourmet heritage as well as modern interpretations of Southeast Asian cooking. Both à la carte and set menu choices are available as well as healthy COMO Shambhala Cuisine.
Dishes might include Chinese roast pigeon, grilled Lombok lobster or banana-wrapped steamed snapper with coconut sambal. Breakfast dishes include ‘nasi lemak’ or toast with rambutan blossom honey.
Room Service
Our room service menu, available until 10pm daily, includes children’s dishes, healthy salads, indulgent desserts and familiar western-style comfort options like burgers and pasta dishes.
Local specialities include a hot and sour grilled prawn salad, ‘beef rendang’ (a spiced beef, tamarind and coconut curry), and passionfruit and mango tart for dessert.
