Bali Hilton Launches A World Of Romance, Opening The Ayodya Palace[published on Oct 29, 2003]
Bali Hilton International officially marked the opening yesterday of its lavish US$3million refurbishment of The Ayodya Palace (formerly The Ayoyda Club)—a 75 room private ‘hotel within a hotel’. Local tourism industry leaders gathered at the launch to discover the grandeur recently experienced by Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, and Myanmar’s Prime Minister General Khin Nyu who were among the first guests to sample The Ayodya Palace, during the recent ASEAN Business Summit.
The luxury refurbishment, which commenced in May 2003, is the first major renovation for the classic hotel since opening in 1990, sets new standards for ‘club facilities’ in Bali.
A first for any club style facility in Bali is a purpose-built, exclusive Ayodya Spa, featuring four serene therapy suites with tropical, outdoor relaxation bale pavilion, bath and shower facilities delivering the latest in Balinese traditional treatments and exclusive spa rituals. The Ayodya Spa is accessible exclusively to Palace guests from 9 am to 9 pm with in-room treatments available upon request. It is an addition to the already popular ‘Spa at the Hilton’, which offers a wide range of spa treatments.
“What we have set out to achieve with The Ayodya Palace is a dreamy destination in a quiet corner of the Bali Hilton property that is unique in its facilities, amenities and contemporary in design and ambience. The Ayodya Palace is ideal for anyone wanting a new level of exclusive guest experience,” said Ian E. McKie, Director of Hotel Operations.
The exciting transformation sees every corner of the magnificent Palace area, featuring six room categories, and four private open areas, stripped and completely revitalized to add a new dimension to the Hilton level of guest experience. The revamped open areas have a modern Eastern design to reflect a relaxed and informal palatial residence, inspired by the grand palaces of the legendary Ayodya Kingdom.
