West Nusa Tenggara is one of the twenty seven provinces of the republic of Indonesia. This province is situated between 115' 45' and 119' 10' East Longitude and between 8'5' and 9'5' South Latitude.

West Nusa Tenggara consists of an area of 24.153 km The major parts of West Nusa Tenggara are mountainous and hilly with low and high plains stretching from Ampenan in the western part of Lombok to Sape in the Eastern end of the Sumbawa.

Lombok stretches over eighty kilometres and Sumbawa about three hundred kilometres from west to east. The area of West Nusa Tenggara is 20,153,15 sq.kms, consisting of six regencies, namely west

Lombok with Mataram for its capital, Central Lombok with Praya, East Lombok with Selang, Sumbawa with its capital Sumbawa besar, Dompu with Dompu and Bima with Raba.
