 The economy of East Kalimantan is supported by some major primary products. For example:
Agriculture – Food Crops : Rice, corn, peanuts, soybeans and cassava. Commercial Crops : Coconut, cloves, rubber, cacao, oil palm, coffee and pepper.
Livestock: Cows, buffaloes, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks. Fishery – Fish Productions : Tuna, skipjack tuna, barramundi, shrimp, anchovy, common carp, tilapia and milk fish.
Forestry – Forest Products : Rattan, resin, bird’s nest, logs, ebony, honey and bark.
Mining : Petroleum and coal.
Handicrafts : Rattan and bamboo plaiting, cloth weaving, and wood carving.
