This old graves is regarded as a complex, due to its adequate size, in which 778 graves exist in different forms and various types of material used for the graves. It is located in northern part of Ujung Pandang city. It is exactly on the former Tallo Fort.

Formerly, Tallo kingdom was an area under the rule of Gowa Kingdom. That Kingdom was divided into two major divisions, since the King had two princesses, who are both ambitious men to be the king. The two King are: Tallo and Gowa. Therefore, a proverb emerge “dua raja satu rakyat” (one folk under the rule of two kings).

Based on the available literally data and archeologists, it was said that the graves of Tallo and Gowa kings can be found in this graveyard, since the seventeenth century, i.e. between earlier seventeenth century and the end of seventeenth century.
