Nusa Lembongan is a small island located in the southeast of Bali, across the Badung Strait which separates the island (and two other small islands, Nusa Ceningan Island and Nusa Penida Island) and Bali Island.

There are three main area of diving site locations in Nusa Lembongan. They are Ental Point (known as "blue corner" ), Jangka Point and Ceningan Channel.

Ental Point is a sparse, sopping reef with a terrace at twenty-four meters. The dive starts east of the point, and you are swept in a drift west to the corner, whence you head south inside the bay -- toward the shipwreck -- to seek some protection.

The fish and coral life here is not particularly rich, and the current starts out strong and gets worse as you approach the point ! It's true. But molas are seen here. A mola is a very nice animal you can see in several diving site locations.

Jangka Point is located in the front of some seaweed farms off northeast Lembongan Island. Eddies form here, as they do across the strait at Toyapakeh, and this give a diver some protection from the full strength of the current the profile is a very gradual slope, and again, it is not as rich as the sites on Nusa Penida proper. In the past the big table corals in the shallows here were full of lobsters.

Ceningan Channel is a very nice spot for an overnight anchorage, as it is protected from the swell and current. It also makes a safe and enjoyable night dive.

The bottom is sand and mud, with a limestone slope as you get further out toward Toyapakeh Strait. It is not really rich enough to recommend as a daytime dive, however. At Ceningan Point, the swell and the current combines to produce a strange, shifting current that blows north and then, with a frequency of may be ten minutes, blows south and then repeat itself.

It can be quite unsettling. the coral here is very rich and healthy, and the pulsing current attracts big schools of fish. It is a very uncommon dive, but if you feel you can handle the peculiar water behavior (and can find an operator willing to take you here) it is worth trying.
