Perfect Place to Relax

I came across this hotel sort of by accident and when I read about the private pool that each 'villa' boasts and found an OK price through a German travel operator, I thought IŽd give it a try. When I got there I immediately fell in love with that place! The villas (I spent several nights in 3 different villas) all are very tastefully furnished and are built in Balinese style with high thatched roofs. For people travelling with friends rather than their partners it might be helpful to know that there are no villas with twin beds, so you might have to ask for an extra bed (cost around US$25!) to be set up in the spacious room. Each villa is fully furnished, incl. cable TV, stereo system, minibar, hairdryer, kettle and - very important - anti-mosquito device. Every villa has its own private pool, the size varies however. I found that villa 4 has the nicest pool and private garden. Most villas also have a wonderful outdoor bathroom. If you plan to stay at the villas you neednŽt bother bringing swimwear as the private garden is secluded. Odds are you wonŽt see another guest at the hotel as everybody there seems to be in their own little private refuge. Nevertheless, the hotel also offers a very nice public pool in a tropical garden dotted with gazebos - also a nice place to have breakfast. Taking of which - the breakfast is a la carte and could be a bit more complete. Having said this you probably wonŽt go hungry either as the quality and the quantity are fine. The staff are very helpful but housekeeping takes its time - it might be a good idea to ask for room service at the reception. When you have your laundry done, you will get it back clean and crisp and with the nicest smell. If you plan to stay at the Mimosa you should know that it is a 10 min walk along a busy village street to the famous beach, but the hotel also offers shuttle service several times a day. Along Jalan Ulu Watu II (Dua) youŽll find several small foodstalls and restaurants with excellent and cheap Indonesian food. There are also some supermarkets 5-15min walk from the hotel.
