60's wonderland

This Hotel although a little rough around the edges is really an unmissable expeiriance. Set right on the beach and fronted by a very large pool it was one of the first 'international hotels built in Indonesia - and nothing seems to have changed since about 1967. It really is a unique expeiriance. Of special note is the room reserved for 'Nye Lora Kidal' or the Goddess of the South seas. It is site to behold all done out it shades of Turquoise with a large portrait over the bed and hats and shoes and dresses ready for her in the wardrobe. Other than for its curosity value the hotel does have a great location and every room has a perfect ocean view. The rooms and service and not fantastic but ok for the price.
