Four star facility, five star service

Four star facilities with five star service is the best way I can describe our stay. We arrived in the afternoon and were met with big smiles and refreshing 'welcome' drinks, as always. We booked online via the hotel's own website as, surprisingly, that gave us the best price and although they took our card details initially they didn't charge us until we arrived so we saved more as the dollar moved in our favour. We stayed in a deluxe room with balcony in twin bed configuration. Rooms were spacious, modern and clean, and the beds were new and comfortable. The grounds and pool were magnificent and wonderfully maintained. On the separate occasions when we had a loss of power and a loss of cold water, the maintenance guys were actually jogging to fix the problems and services were returned within minutes. Now these things happen and often canít be helped so for mine it is the response which makes the difference. Disappointingly the Ďswim upí bar has been converted into a massage stage which I didnít see get used once whilst I was there. They need to rethink that decision :). When we arrived the main restaurant was being renovated and although breakfast was in a temporary location all food varieties were still available. On the last few days the restaurant re-opened and was a pleasure to dine in with its open air, exotic feel. Above all else the people working at the hotel are wonderful, happy people wanting to make your stay a magical and memorable one. They make an effort to remember your name and to greet you, genuinely, each time they meet you. I have been to Bali nearly a dozen times and have only a handful of places I would return to, and this is certainly one of them. Stayed March 2012, traveled with friends
