We decided to have 19 Days in Bali over the Christmas and New year period 2012 and see in 2013 in the tropics for change. I had stayed here for two nights before in October 2010 enroute to Flores Island NTT and like the ambience and presence of the resort though developed in 1986. We arrived on a very early morning flight and were greeted by the courtesy bus driver at the airport at 4.40am and Only 10 minutes to the hotel was fabulous. The Hotel gave us a warm and accommodated us with a 5.00 am early check in which was great appreciated to get some much needed sleep. The Fruit platter on arrival was enjoyed immensely and made a wonderful caring impression. Fresh water was free every day and the in room fridge worked magic for our afternoon drink on the balcony. The hotel room on the third floor was clean and tidy with the air conditioning working very well keeping the room nice and cool . The bed was fresh clean linen daily and so comfortable for a wonderful sleep every night. The bathroom was clean and functional and the bedroom and bathroom room was serviced daily with fresh towels, linen and toiletries. Having the balcony outlook to the beautiful tropical gardens, clean sparkling pool and upstairs Balinese restaurant was great to sit outside in the tropical warmth most evenings was fantastic. To sit together, chat, to read and to have a refreshing Rum and Coke and other refreshments at sunset was memorable and just what we were looking for in our holiday. The staff at all areas of the hotel resort where cheerful and gracious but genuinely welcoming providing excellent service especially Syriah at the poolside massage centre and waiter Max who was a delight. The food was always good for the included breakfast to start the day and they did not mind if you took a snack for later. We ate evening meals at the resort and enjoyed the many flavours and the spicy dishes eating there 11 evening out of 19. The evening meals delicious and freshly cooked at exceptional prices compared to some of the restaurants close by in Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. We swam every day in the large octogonal swimming pool which was very clean and the water sparkled daily. We also used the services available at the pool massage centre which were excellent. They also welcomed children and catered for their needs at meal times. They also spayed/fogged occasionally as needed to reduce the presence of any mosquitoes which was also appreciated from the health viewpoint. Contrary to media reports about tourists getting sick in Bali we did not have any incident and enjoyed the experience. Its proximity to Discovery Plaza shopping centre -15 minutes walk past all the many restaurants, no commission - money changer is very close to Hotel via lneway the left along Kartika Plaza- 5 minutes, Kuta square is 20 minute walk, or a Taxi ride costing only Rp5000 but depends on the traffic fi you walk to Kartika Plaza. Hotel to Nusa Dua Bali Collection Shopping center and Pacifika Art Gallery costs about Rp 65,000 on the meter. Use Blue Bird Taxi only. We would highly recommend the Palm each Hotel to our friends family and other global visitors as suitable for couples, family and groups and do fully enjoy all aspects including internet cafe and free Wi Fi. One of Life's memorable holidays .
