“Very lovely stay” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

We had excellent stay at Melia Purosani. The hotel is not straight in the centre, but it is walkable or you can take a bicycle rickshaw.

We had a premium room, which was big and comfortable with pool view. It had a small hall, separate sleeping/living area with maybe 40 square meters. Also the bathroom was pretty good with shower and bathtub with good amenities. They should though fix the shower door, which is leaking to the bathroom.

Food from the room service was good with huge portios of Satays and so did everything else.

Alcohol is sold by the way just around the corner; mall on your right hand side when left right from the hotel's main door. They also have other foods, drinks and everything imagine for. Alcohol is sold just by the cashier.

Just call the reception for all your room needs like food or drink (not separate phone line to the restaurant).

In the morning though they suffered from the same problem like so many big hotels everywhere; when you come close to breakfast ending time at 10 am, the food becomes easily cold in the containers. The breakfast buffet was huge, but go early if you want the best parts.

The staff was always courteus, smiling and happy to help. Everyone met at the hotel made us feel welcome. Even a foreign president was staying at same time with us, so I guess this's a really a good hotel in Yogyakarta.

If you have kids they have a nice pool area with slides and all.

Improvements; they could improve the wifi so that it won't break after every 24 hours. Also the housekeeping needs some improvement; polish all the shower and hand wash heads, so that they will look more clean and tide to you.

All in all, nice stay, and it is easy to book airport transportation from and to the hotel. Highly recommended!
