My wife and I came to Ubud for two weeks of R&R. We had been to the town before and had stayed at some of the other more commercial hotels. For the most part, they had been disappointing. Waka Namya was a wonderful change. The hotel is small and intimate, but secluded enough to feel like you are away from the crowd. We stayed in the Deluxe Room, next to the a smaller pool. The staff was very attentive and friendly and nice. They did not try to sell us on any packages or tours, but they knew that we l had lived in Indonesia and were less interested in those sort of outings.
I would also recommend that food. The breakfast was always good, with a nice variety of choices. Dinner was also surprisingly tasty. Would certainly go again.
Stayed December 2011, traveled as a couple
A valuable hotel with complete facilities and leisure and amenities. Well recommended.
