Escape to Paradise

Reviewed 29 June 2013

We stayed at Villa Bukit in March 2013 as part of my 50th birthday, we were travelling with our 3 adult children and hadn't all travelled together for 10 years so it was important to us that there were things we could all do. It had been recommended to me that we go to Lembongan so we decided to stay there for 1 night not knowing what to expect. We found a private and magical villa in a quiet and tranquil area overlooking the volcano. We were looked after so well from the minute we were met by the staff at the beach, being taken up to the beautiful villa and immediately relaxing into a swim and a great lunch cooked by the staff. The staff then arranged for us to go snorkelling which was just fantastic and we then spent a lazy afternoon by the pool. For dinner they recommended and took us to a fantastic French restaurant on the beach which we all agreed was one of the best meals we had in Bali. Next morning was breakfast cooked at the villa and the staff arranged stand up paddle boarding which we all loved, another great lunch at the villa and before we were ready sadly we had to leave. The villa is a little bit away from the main area of the island, but it only takes 5 minutes on a bike and your at the beach, which is why we loved it!! Everything we needed was happily provided to us by the staff at a really great price. The Villa staff were fantastic, and did as little or much as you wanted, and the villa itself was just beautiful. The 5 of us took up the whole villa and it was more than large enough for us. The design of the villa is modern and clean but still warm and traditional, I loved the stone bath in the ensuite! This part of our trip will stay with us all forever as unexpectedly being the highlight of our 10 days in Bali, we will be back to Villa Bukit!
