Best holiday ever!

Reviewed August 21, 2013 NEW

I am going to write a detailed review of our trip because I feel that where we stayed made our trip so wonderful, The Sheraton in Bali was perfect- I hope you enjoy reading the review- & I hope it helps you in your decision on where to stay in Bali.

Myself & 2 friends decided to take a short trip to Bali, we decided that as it was only 3 night stay, we would try the new Sheraton hotel, which was a little more expensive than most places in Bali.

I cannot fault our trip, it was AMAZING! We had a triple share room, and there was 2 double beds & a king single- plenty of room for the beds, and suitcases and a large bathroom with a big bath. It then had double glass doors opening out to a little court yard with a table & chairs, surrounded by little ponds/ water features. The room was clean, and was tidied every day, the beds were super comfortable & the pillows were too.

When we arrived, we were earlier than normal check in time (about an hour early) but this was no issue for the staff, although our room was not yet ready, we were shown to the balcony were we were able to relax on the super comfortable chairs with foot stools & we ordered cocktails & dim sum (Which was also super yummy!) Whilst doing this, the staff arranged for massages to be booked in an hour later in the Sheraton Shine Spa. We then moved from the amazing view of the ocean & pool to their beautiful day spa & we were treated to unbelievable Balinese massages. Once finished there, we were then given our room key & went to our room & our luggage was bought up the the room for us. The afternoon was spent wandering the shopping centre, 'The beachwalk' which was right next door- which had lots of lovely speciality stores, a reliable money changer, a childrens indoor play centre & a food court. Then right next to this shopping centre was the markets, which if you follow along for about 15 minutes you reached the heart of Kuta. So lots of opportunity to eat, shop & drink (and shop market style or proper label style) within a short walking distance.

We then experience breakfast - in our package we included breakfast every morning & WOW, what a breakfast it was. Never have I experienced such a fantastic buffet breakfast (& I have experienced a lot of them all around the world) You had so many choices, if you wanted eggs- there was a lady who would make in front of you any version of eggs. Pancakes, waffles or crepes- the same. Dim sum, lots of lovely variety. Curries & indonesian dishes, standard baked beans, hash browns & bacon. Homemade fresh yoghurts, fresh fruit, and a specific section for Sushi. it even had icecream and churrios! The service again, was fast, happy, and organised, we looked forward to breakfast every morning!! (and for those who bring kids along, they have a cute little kids area with little tables & food more suitable for the younger children)

We then moved from breakfast to the Shine Spa to book in our day spa treatment for the day. A 1 hour massage (which cost about $40 australian dollars) The spa treatment is more than a massage, we were treated to beautiful refreshing drinks before our massages, and then after our massages we were taken to the relaxation room, to lay & relax whilst having a sweet ginger tea (which was devine... I didn't expect it to be!) After our massages we would head to the pool area to swim, & relax on the sun lounges either in the sun or you could have your umbrella up (each chair had one) The staff were super attentive, they knew who we were & where we were sitting, and were always quick to help with the little things - like glasses of water or towels. On our last day, we tried to book into the Shine spa for facials, only to find out they were completely booked out. Although this was disappointing, we didn't mind, as we had spent so much time in the spa, we thought we could share that experience with other patrons. We thanked the spa staff and headed off to the pool. Less than an hour later, a staff member approached the 3 of us in the pool, and asked if we still wanted the facials- YES of course!! so they fitted us in.

The beach is right across the road, the staff will even stop traffic for you to cross (it gets quite busy in the late afternoon/ evening) The noise level was low, even though the hotel is surrounded by bars & restaurants. The hair dryer provided in the room was a normal full speed hair dryer (not like the ones that are attached to the wall) And reception also provided a power adaptor/ converter for free.

What an amazing trip! Impeccable service, staff that went out of their way to meet our needs & a beautiful comfortable hotel.

I highly recommend you try this hotel, it is completely worth the money! I am already planning my return trip!! :D
