We have just returned home from an 8 night stay at Villa Staman in Seminyak, and whilst I am reluctant to advertise this gem too widely, it deserves accolades galore! This villa offers so many possibilities - it has 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms housed in separate buildings surrounding a beautiful pool. So, it would be as perfect for three couples as it was for our family group of 4. Villa Staman also offers a full kitchen and ample inside living space - including dining and lounging for 8 under the beautiful high Balinese roof! Two of the bedrooms - the main off the living area and the second room boast this same feature, as well as four-poster beds under nets and really lovely outdoor showers and complete bathrooms. The third bedroom - with a big flat screen TV - does not have the high roof or outdoor shower, but is a comfortable third bedroom with ensuite. All services are available - massages on the day beds surrounding the pool, same day laundry service, and a car and driver should you wish to explore further afield. Airport transfers are included in the very reasonable tariff. A delightful and varied breakfast was provided daily - bacon, eggs, fruit, juice, pancakes, croissant, coffee and tea, served quietly and competently by the three gentlemen who staff the villa. Made, Kadak and Teddy are the villa's finest feature - so obliging, discreet, and thorough in every aspect of their job. The villa was cleaned thoroughly yet unobtrusively each day, our privacy was the highest priority and these three remained 'on call' throughout the day, with Made even returning in the evening to rescue our son who became locked in the bathroom. Friends from Jakarta joined us midway through our stay and share our enthusiasm for Villa Staman. They, more used to the ways of Indonesia than us, were equally impressed by the facilities and services offered by the staff and the excellent and thoughtful way that the villa is managed and presented. The gorgeous arrangements of fresh tropical flowers added to the look! Villa Staman is a short walk down the Oberoi lane to Kut de Ta, then just 10 leisurely minutes further along the beach to gems such as La Lucciola and Breeze. In another direction - the bustle of downtown Seminyak is just minutes away ... and down another lane through to Benny's Bistro and the Delicious Onion! Perfect! ... and quiet and serene all day and night ... We loved it! Bouquets all round!!! Wish it was mine! Wish I was back there! Can't wait to do it all again!!
