Thank you!

Our first trip to Bali and our first family holiday overseas in too many years. This meant the choice of a villa was both challenging and paramount. I am so glad we chose Puri Balangan. The place is the size of a small African village. Seriously it's big. And big is nice. We're a family of four, two teenage children, and in truth 3 couples could stay here. The layout is just that big. We were welcomed with sublime drinks and cold towels, and given a tour of the villa/s. The pool as you can see in pictures, is an infinity pool overlooking a couple of miles of inland Jimbaran area and through to the sea. Interestingly the surrounding areas are quite barren and not as lush as I expected for a tropical area. The roads are third world, as are the on tourist venues and shops. But that's probably irrelevant. Once you're in the grounds here, the villa is sublime. The staff, Maddy, Putu and Noyman are fabulously friendly and attentive. Noyman's cooking is with heart and nothing is too much trouble. My only note is that perhaps it's time for towels, as clean as they were, to be retired for new sets, and the pillows are a little too huge for a healthy neck - we need some feather down in the house! We didn't rate the Jimbaran beachside seafood cafe scene. It was disappointing if not grubby, but that's as an aside, If you're looking for a wonderfully relaxing and indulgent villa in Jimbaran then I simply can't say enough about this villa. Come.
