Best place in town

It is unlikely that you come to Jambi unless you have business interests in the region. In case you do and you are not on a budget that is too tight, the Abadi Suite is the place you want to stay. The rating is to be understood in relation with what you would expect to get in this city rather than a comparison with a very good rating for a global hotel chain in a large city. If you are getting the rack-rate you may feel that you are paying premium for what you get but you have to see this in the context of the alternatives you have in this place. The rooms are spacious, nice and comfortable, WiFi is free and surprisingly efficient. There is a good sized flat screen TV in the room, safe deposit box, fruit basket, etc. The place is spanking clean but the ambiance in the lobby is about of the standard you would find in a Chinese provincial hotel - cold marble combined with some rather tacky decorations. The breakfast spread is surprisingly wide for the region such that you should find something that would suit your taste, although, the non-local food offering is not international level quality.
