Great Location

My husband and I stayed four nights at Kandara from the 25/02 to the 29/02 to mark a milestone birthday. Our booking was for a two bedroom villa (one bedroom would have suffice, but we weren't given the option). When we arrived we told we had been up graded to a 3 bedroom GARDEN VILLA, way too large for just the two of us and since I had strained my back, which I mentioned to the reception staff at check in, a villa on one level would have been much better suited. The biggest disappointment came when we were shown our villa #28. No infinity pool, and no sea view, in fact the only views we had was of the rooftops of adjoining villas. From the photos on their web site I had assumed that what was shown as the accommodation was what you got not in our case! I asked if we could be changed to a smaller villa with a sea view and was met with a stunned look from the staff and a definite NO. The resort is lovely and the majority of staff are very friendly and polite. The food at Di Mare was always delicious, the staff courteous and attentive with to dinners needs. The breakfast menu was the best I have experienced anywhere in the world, and the magnificent views made even better. Stephen the food and wine Manager helped my husband arrange a very memorable birthday dinner, the waitress's staff sang Happy Birthday and gave me their congratulations, even the weather put on a spectacular sunset, a perfect celebration!! We also had the pleasure of meeting the general manager PA,Kunti? a most engaging charming and helpful young lady. Over all if we had a villa with a sea view it would have been perfect stay.
