Travelers' Choice® 2012 Winner Trendiest

Very nice

Reviewed April 12, 2012 2 people found this review helpful We stayed at Sun Island Villas for one week (7 days). We were a little disappointed to be put in villa number 1 as every other guest would have to walk past our villa to get to theirs; however this was not an issue, we very rarely heard anyone else. The villa was very private, clean and there had been a lot of attention to detail. Most evenings our room was sprayed for mozzies by staff and they turned our doona and placed a frangipani on it, as well as leaving us an evening snack.

The staff were always friendly, helpful and straight forward. Our villa pool was so lovely, warm and secluded at some points we felt like the only guests there. The main pool was just heaven, not too cool and deceivingly large.

Breakfast was always nice and the wait staff always accommodating and polite. The room service was prompt and efficient and the spa was amazing as well priced for an in house spa service.

The location was perfect for us, in the heart of shopping and restaurants. We walked nearly everywhere we went, including Legian markets. I liked that the villas are close to Legian, we had the best of markets & boutique shops.

The only thing that I didn't really like was the food we ordered from room service. The tuna I ordered was very tough and not seasoned very much. I preferred the food from the local restaurants (which was also a lot cheaper).

The villas are pricey, however for the serenity, location and small boutique style well worth it. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: The villas with a higher numbers have less traffic walk past
