Best bungalows in this worldy dimension

I have been trying to convince my wife to come and stay on the Bukit Peninsula for 10 years and finally this year she agreed. Balangan Beach is my favourite destination in Bali. The level of development here is relatively minimal and there is still a rural vibe around. Though this is starting to change. The beach is great and kind of what Dreamlands used to be before Tommy Suharto took a dump on it. Focussing on La Joya - we (my wife, 7yo girl and 3 yo boy) were greeted on arrival by John and Lolly who both really epitomise what makes La Joya great - they were friendly, happy and funny. John gave us the tour and carried our little girl Elodie on his back the whole way. She instantly feel in love with John. There are two lovely pools and also a gang of ducks that waddle about and are hilarious. Rooms were adequate for our purposes. We had two beds in the room. A king size and a large double day bed where the kids slept. The room had A/C which was handy as when the kids went for a nap in the day (thank god) it was pretty hot. Food at the resto was great with my wife pretty much having the watermelon tuna tartare every day. Overall I think this place is the best value for money to comfort ratio I have found in Bali and also in my favourite location. Only suggestions would be to bring some ear plugs due to the local roosters and dogs that are part of the audioscape in the early AM. I would recommended La Joya to anyone, especially families. We both agreed that we would be happy to come back to La Joya on an annual basis I very much look forward to returning.
