Great little boutique hotel

If you're staying in Kota, Chinatown or Central Jakarta this is a great place. The rooms are plenty big enough, and very clean, the breakfast is excellent, the in-room safe is useful, the range of TV channels is good, the staff are very friendly and it's good value for money. Robert, the assiduous house manager, allowed a late checkout with no charge or quibble, which was much appreciated. He also provides a range of entertainment in the bar/nightclub and elsewhere in the hotel which matches anything you'll get elsewhere in Jakarta. The location on Mangga Besar is about as good as you can get in a city with no real centre, and Chinatown, Kota and several malls are within walking distance. There were a couple of small quibbles at the time but so small I can't remember them now - weakish coffee at breakfast springs to mind. But it must be pretty good if that's all to carp about, and I'd certainly book again if I went back to Jakarta.
