Bali Sightseeing Tours : Borobudur Historical Tour
Borobudur is a fascinating Buddhist temple with 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies in its complex. Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, the descendant of Sailendra dynasty, and was completed on 26 May 824, almost one hundred years from the time the construction was begun. The name of Borobudur means a mountain having terraces (budhara), while other says that Borobudur means monastery on the high place. Borobudur is located in an elevated area between two twin volcanoes, Sundoro-Sumbing and Merbabu-Merapi, and two rivers, the Progo and the Elo.
It is approximately 40 kilometres northwest of Yogyakarta and 100 kilometres North West of Semarang. It is one of the seven medieval wonders of the world and listed as a World Heritage Site. Even its location is outside of Yogyakarta city, however, Borobudur is still become a must visit tourist destination in Yogyakarta. You will need an hour trip by car from Yogya to arrive at this world site. Upon arriving there, you will need 15 minutes to cross a flower garden and a lot of stairs to reach the main temple.

Then we will drive you to Yogyakarta, in order to visit Batik Home industry, Wayang Gallery and also Silver Smith at Kota Gede. The last destination to visit is Prambanan Temple then finally we drive you to your hotel/airport.
