Pejeng is a village a bit east of Ubud in Gianyar Regency. Pejeng Village is located in the Petanu River valley, 15-minute drive from the heart of Ubud and 90-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Pejeng is home to the Moon of Pejeng, the largest single-cast bronze kettle drum in the world. Pejeng also houses Bali largest archaeological museum with interesting collection of artifacts and other archaeological remains. Pejeng offers easy access to interesting places such as Elephant Cave, Tirta Empul and Gung Kawi Temple.

Pejeng is a rural area with extensive and ancient, irrigated rice cultivation affording beautiful rice fields view for Pejeng villas. It is hard to find a hotel in Pejeng; budget Pejeng hotel is almost a non-existence, same goes to mid-market and splurge Pejeng hotel.
