Singaraja was former capital of Bali province before the capital was shifted to Denpasar. Situated in north Bali, now the growing tourist area is about seven kilometer in the west of Singaraja. The area is popularly known as Lovina.

Singaraja is also worth seeing. Though the town is not a tourist city, there are some places you can visit in Singaraja, such as the Lontar museum, traditional home-weaving industry or Pura Jaganatha.
To accommodate your need, there are shops, postal agents, internet kiosk, bookshop, money changer in Lovina but most of them are concentrated in central Lovina. The nightlife and good restaurants are found on Jalan Pantai Binaria.
