Overview: Out on the frontier of the Pacific exists the original coral eco island 'Bokissa' in an atmosphere that's a little wild... and seriously private.
If you long for a mix of adventure and seclusion, big wreck scuba diving and lazy afternoon hammock siestas, marlin fishing and poolside candlelit dinners, private beachfront snorkelling and fine table wines, tropical rainforest walks and air-conditioned private bungalows, then your a could be in a Bokissa mold.
Facilities & Services: Most important of all our facilities are our rooms, each of which are independent bungalows which we call farés.
Experienced travelers are always concerned about their water. Bokissa Eco Island has an extensive rainwater catchment system designed especially to provide you with the purest water for drinking and personal use.
The resort's centre piece is a beautiful 25m freshwater swimming pool complete with swim-up bar. The upper pool-deck provides the perfect platform for admiring the sea and sky during the day and for stargazing on a clear night.
Don't forget the many activities offered by the resort including kayaking, rainforest walks, fishing and more.
All of our farés have absolute beach frontage and there is never a shortage of hammocks to lie and appreciate the beauty of the outer islands.
For those who like to pack light we have a full laundry and ironing service an for those who don't we also have porterage on the island.
Two fully stocked island bars ensure that you will never be thirsty. Enjoy a cool drink, juice or cocktail at the pool-bar during the day and then move up to the lodge bar to enjoy a social drink after dinner.
The main lodge is perfectly suited to conferences functions or receptions, catering for up to 40 people.
The environmentally conscious will be pleased to hear that Bokissa has recently implemented a new eco friendly sewerage treatment plant. This plant, the first in the country is helping us maintain the environmental integrity of the island. All non-treatable waste is removed to the mainland.
Accommodation: All accommodations are called faré. A faré is what we term a private bungalow, each individually air-conditioned with ceiling fans and covered verandahs.
Your faré can be configured to your liking from a singleshare arrangement up to a quadshare configuration.
Regulate air & light to suit with the beautiful kuila wood shutters, secure in the knowledge that all windows have mosquito nets to give a pleasant nights sleep.
Your faré is equipped with tea & coffee making facilities as well as a fridge complete with minibar.
Each faré has a large ensuite with toilet, vanity, shower with instant gas-hotwater & hairdryer.
Step out of your room and greet the day by lying on a deck chair on the beach, swaying gently in your own hammock or going for a snorkel, right n front of your faré.
At Bokissa our guests look forward to meal times as the kitchen staff prepare a scrumptious á la carte or buffet masterpiece. Seafood and island dishes are our specialty.
