Day 01: Banjarmasin Arrival
At Banjarmasin, Southern Kalimantan. Transfer to the hotel. Enroute visit the Jamu factory
and continue t the home industry the tie-dye ikat known as "Sasirangan".
Afternoon at leisure to explore this city of rivers. Dinner at hotel and an evening becak
(pedicap) ride around the city. (L,D)
Day 02: Banjarmasin-Pangkalan
Bun-Tanjung Puting Reserve.
Fly this morning to Pangkalan bun in Central
Kalimantan. Transfer to Kumai where we embark our "Klotok" (local boat) for 2
hours journey up the Nipa-Palm fringed Sekonyer River into Tanjung Puting Reserve. Check
into the lodge followed by lunch. Later this afternoon we may paddie upriver by canoe to
spot birds, flying foxes, monkeys or Orang Utan. (B,L,D)
Day 03: Tanjung Puting-Camp leakey
We continue by "Klotok" approximately
another 2 hours upriver by Klotok to Camp Leakey where for the last 20 years, Dr.Birute
Galdikas conducted her Orang Utan rehabilitation and research project. Your visit to Camp
Leakey will no doubt be a great highlight observing the Orang utans in this wonderful
natural habitat. (B,L,D)
Day 04: Tanjung Putting
Today we have an option to return to Camp Leakey as
visit Tanjung Harapan to spend another day with our Orang Utan friends. A late afternoon
nature walk, canoe ride, or relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Rimba Lodge
(B,L,D)
Day 05: Tanjung Putting-Pangkalan
Bun-Banjarmasin
Following breakfast check out the lodge and return
to Kumai by Klotok Transfer to the airport in Pangkalan Bun for your flight back to
Banjarmasin. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. (B,L)
Day 06: Banjarmasin
Departure
Free leisure until transfer to airport for your
onward flight.
