Day 01:
Jayapura Arrival
Upon Arrival at Sentani Airport-Jayapura, you will
be welcomed by our guide for transfer to hotel. The remaining day is free. (D)
Day 02: Jayapura - Wamena - Jiwika - Wamena
Early morning transfer to airport for approximately one hour flight to the interior of
Irian Jaya and the town of Wamena. Arrive Wamena airport, check in to simple hotel
accommodation. Afterwards drive on a car to visit Salt mine where Dani woman make salt in
primitive way, meet the villagers and be introduced to the 250 year old mummy, Kontilola
stone cave, and local market of Dani tribesmen to explore their culture, dress, houses and
appreciate their curiosity about you. (B,L,D)
Day 03:
Wamena-Aikima-Suroba-Wesaput-Wamena
Drive to Aikima, where the trip will be continued by walking to Suroba. Experience the
turning back-of-the-clock by centuries. Back to hotel for hotel for lunch, then proceed
the Sinatma hanging bridge, Dani tribe’s museum at Wesaput and surrounding. Return to
hotel in the afternoon. (B,L,D)
Day 04: Wamena-Jayapura
Transfer to airport for flight to Jayapura.
Arriving in Jayapura - formerly Hollandia, Jayapura still is evidence for much of the
importance of this city during the World War II. A city sightseeing is arranged to visit
Mc Arthur memorial, crocodile farm, as well as the remnant of the World War II, Hamadi
beach and Hamadi market. After lunch proceed to DOCK IX fishing houses, The go to have
some leisure time or swim at Base G beach. Overnight at hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 05: Jayapura Departure
Morning free at leisure until its time for transfer
to airport for your onward flight. (B)
